These samples are taken by using a vacuum pump that forces air through a collection device. (Air-O-Cell) The sample is then sent to a laboratory to be analyzed. A detailed report is then provided.
Taking air samples during a mold inspection is important for several reasons. Mold spores are not visible to the naked eye, and the types of mold present can only be determined by a laboratory analyzing the air samples. A detailed report is generated so that the level of contamination can be determined. This process takes out the guess work. Is the air in my home clean and safe or is the air I am breathing contaminated? (See Picture)
